Broken Brass is next level brass music. Explosive and energetic, combining the energy ofbrass with the attitude of rock ‘n’ roll, the drive of funk and the flow of hip hop.

With the new album ‘Broke’, Broken Brass reflects on the last couple of troublesome covidyears, which were a major setback for every live band. Broken Brass is ‘broke’ in terms offinances, but certainly not when it comes to inspiration and perseverance. The past periodgave the band the unique opportunity to look at the personalities and international diversityof the group, the jointly achieved (international) successes and to find out where the strengthof the band lies. On their new album ‘Broke’ the band combines the strong points of allprevious albums; the new album is the definition of what the band stands for, a distillate of allthe highlights.

On their new album, the band again collaborates with a number of talented musician friends.Pablo Van De Poel, singer/guitarist of DeWolff, provides the soulful first single and title track’Broke’ with the necessary funky guitar licks and a ripping solo. Henk Wesselink of Moneyand the Man plays on ‘Beast Inside Me’ which results in a nice raw interactionwith BrokenBrass singer Isaac. Rapper Reazun, known from the Kyteman Orchestra among others, provides a smooth French contribution on ‘T’inquiète’.

With more than 500 shows under their belt Broken Brass is a live force to be reckoned with.Live they deliver hard-hitting brass power and their riotous shows have seen them conquercrowds all over the world. With origins based in the Netherlands, Broken Brass have beenfiring up a storm all over the world with an energizing and eclectic live sound, pairing punchybasses with hard-hitting brass. The enigmatic nine-piece have conquered clubs and festivalsin almost 20 countries with slots at VH1 Festival (India), Secret Garden Party (UK), FusionFestival (GER), Kendal Calling (UK), Green Man (WAL), North Sea Jazz (NL), Eurosonic(NL) and more. In addition, the globetrotting act has sold out multiple UK and Dutch venues, gained airtime from all the big Dutch media and in the UK from a.o. Craig Charles Funk &Soul Show and BBC Radio 6. Consistently filling 300+ capacity venues on live reputationalone, in every country they play, shows that underestimating this brass band is out of thequestion.
